Spartans take over Morzine!

Last weekend, the awesome Reebok Spartan Races made their debut in Morzine. More than 2000 competitors travelled to the resort to take part in this brutal challenge! The categories were the Beast (20km+) the Super (13km+) and the Sprint (5km+) – or if you’re brave enough the Trifecture which includes all 3 – all of which included obstacles ranging from rope climbs to crawling under barbed wire and throwing tyres.

This was the first year the event (which takes place all over the world) came to the Alps, but don’t worry if you missed it – it will be back again next year! It was also a great event for spectators as many of the main obstacles were set up through town, and locals came out in force to cheer on our home team who completed the Beast in just under 6 hrs. This is an action packed summer, as we’re now all looking forward to this Sunday when the Etape du Tour takes place between Megeve and Morzine.
