Summer 2016 is set to be AWESOME with an action packed schedule of events for road & mountain biking in and around Morzine – get these in your diary now!

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th May – Early Weekend Openings at Lesgets Bike Park Lifts (TS Express des Chavannes & TS Express des Nauchets)

Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th June – Early Weekend Openings at Lesgets Bike Park Lifts

Saturday 11th June – Lesgets Bike Park Lifts Open & Mont Chery lifts open (TS Express des Chavannes, TS Express des Nauchets, TS Mont Chery & TS Pointe)

Wednesday 15th June – Morzine bike lifts Open (TS Super Morzine & TS Zore)

Wednesday 15th – Sunday 19th JuneCRANKWORX, Les Gets

Crankworx is an internationally renowned mountain bike festival and this year, Les Gets debuts as host for the European leg of it’s World Tour (& commences a new 3 year long contract with Crankworx). Set across 4 days, around 3,000 mountain bikers will gather on the trails of Les Gets with world class competitions & live music. Come enjoy world-class mountain biking, ride with the best & watch as the most competitive athletes refine and define the sport.

Friday 24th – Sunday 26th July – PASS’PORTES DU SOLIEL

The 13th edition of this annual Mountain Bike ride spanning the Portes du Soliel, the Pass’portes du Soliel is a mountain bike event not to be missed! The 80km circuit, crossing 2 countries & utilising 15 lifts (and featuring 6000m of downhill!) is the perfect way to explore the PDS with families & children welcome too & great local dishes to keep you fuelled along the way!

This event also marks the opening of the Portes du Soliel Bike lifts & welcomes the start of the summer season.

Saturday 2nd July – remaining Avoriaz lifts open for the summer season

Sunday 10th July L’ETAPE DU TOUR

For all amateur road cyclists, this is the chance to experience one of the legendary Tour de France stages. Cyclists come from around the world, all of them passionate to ride the same routes and under the same conditions as the professionals on Le Tour. The event takes place on roads closed by the police to other traffic, with refreshment stops and medical support provided along the route.
In July 2016 the route will leave Megeve heading for Morzine on an epic 146km route with 4 huge climbs. More details on their official website –

Saturday 23rd JulyLe Tour de France

It’s been 6 years since Le Tour passed through Morzine & we are super excited about it’s return to Morzine & Avoriaz this July. The annual multiple stage bike event is not to be missed, even for those not familiar with cycling. The race is set across 3 weeks & is a true celebration of all things French with streets & spectators creating a carnival like atmosphere following the race route. Morzine & Avoriaz sees the penultimate stage before the spectacular finale in Paris. We can’t wait for this world class sporting event to be on our doorsteps!
