Summer 2025 in Morzine is packed full of activities for all ages; from hiking and biking to relaxing by the pool – there is something for everyone.

Here is our guide to a great summer in Morzine this year…

Mountain Biking

  • Daily opening from 13th June through to 14th September 2025
  • Late Night Lifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays!
     Enjoy more sunset rides this summer with late night lifts open until 7pm until the 31st August (subject to weather conditions). Pleney gondola – Every Tuesday and Thursday // Super Morzine & Zore chairlift – Every Friday.
  • UCI Mountain Biking World World Series returns to Les Gets from 28th -31st August 2025.

Standout Events this Summer…

  • 27th – 29th June: Passportes du Soliel. 2025 is the 21st anniversary of this legendary event which we absolutely love. An iconic mountain bike event to discover the Portes du Soliel! More details >>
  • 4th – 6th July : Spartan. With various courses to choose from and courses for children too, it’s a great fun event full of obstacles and epic views.
  • 14 July : Bastille Day. The French national holiday means Morzine will be ‘en fete’, so expect fireworks, events and ‘beaucoup de’ French spirit.
  • 21st -25th July & 28th -1st August: Kingdom of Children. A week of free activities for kids and families taking place by the tourist office between 10am – 6.30pm. The area is fully pedestrianised so a perfect safe space for kids to explore.
  • 30th – 31st July:  Morzine Beach. Two full days of family fun await: giant sandboxes, creative and cooking workshops, face‑painting, foot-billiards, and Zumba sessions—all set against a breathtaking alpine backdrop
  • Saturday 2nd August: Festival at Lake Montriond. Fête du Lac sees hundreds of people gather on the shores of Lac du Montriond for a wonderful fireworks display. There’ll also be a special ’80s party with DJs, food and drinks stalls plus other entertainment too.
  • Sunday 3rd August: Le Tour Femmes! The final stage of the Women’s 2025 Tour de France will conclude in the Portes du Soleil area, passing through Morzine and finishing in Châtel. A challenging mountain stage with climbs over the Col de Joux Plane and Col du Corbier. Not to be missed!
  • 9th -10th August: Trails des Hautes Fortes. The Trail des Hauts Forts is a mountain trail race that takes runners through the heart of the French Alps, linking Morzine to Avoriaz across the stunning landscapes of the Portes du Soleil. With several race formats ranging from 23 km to over 50 km and significant elevation gain, it offers something for both seasoned trail runners and ambitious adventurers
  • Saturday 23rd August: Montriond-Morzine-Avoriaz Triathlon. The event is back for 2025 and includes a large list of distance options, all fully supervised and planned by experienced professional triathletes. You’ll also find that there’s a wonderful, supportive atmosphere at this event, making it a great first triathlon experience
  • 28th -31st August: UCI Mountain Biking World World Series returns to Les Gets. Expect four days of fierce competition, epic alpine scenery, and a thrilling festival atmosphere with live entertainment, expo zones, and family‑friendly vibes
  • 4th – 6th Sept: Mont Blanc Morzine Rally. Rally enthusiasts descend on Morzine for the weekend, to spectate cars race over the local cols.
  • 13th September: KMV de Nantaux. The KMV de Nantaux returns in 2025 after a five year break. This famous race has seen some of the most famous runners in the world join the trail that connects Montriond to the peak of Nantaux, just 2.2km above.
