The Man Behind the Curtain and friends present… SHRED AND BUTTERS

The Man Behind The Curtain, a phrase used to describe someone in the background secretly plotting and conspiring. In this case, that man is Michael O’Hare, chef-patron of Leeds Michelin star restaurant The Man Behind The Curtain, and we are excited to reveal just what it is that he has been plotting! In January 2019 The Man Behind The Curtain and Friends will present ‘Frontside’ and ‘Backside’, two three-night trips, combining Michael’s love for food with his love of snowboarding and friendship, and Treeline Chalets are hosting them, in our luxury boutique chalet, the beautiful Chalet Doyen.

Each evening’s dining will be curated and cooked by one of Michael’s friends. Chefs Gareth Ward (Ynyshir) and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias (Casamia) will be joining Michael for the first trip – Frontside. On the second trip– Backside – Michael will be joined by chefs Michael Wignal (The Angel at Hetton) and Tom Brown (Cornerstone). Gary Usher (Elite Bistros of the World) will be Breakfast Chef for each morning of both trips. We started counting the number of Michelin Stars and AA Rosettes between them all but ran out of fingers! It’s safe to say that each of these trips will be like no other catered chalet experience in the Alps this winter.
