Via Ferrata Adventures

One of the many summer activities on offer here in Morzine is Via Ferrata, which is great fun for adventure lovers with a head for heights! The essence of a modern via ferrata is a steel cable which runs along the route and is periodically (every 1 to 10 metre) fixed to the rock. Using a special Via Ferrata kit (which can be rented from shops in Morzine) climbers secure themselves to the cable, and then climb the metal staples / foot holds that are placed into the rock.

There are graded routes on some local cliffs, including St Jean D’Aulps (just a 10 minute drive, and pictured here), Sixt Fer A Cheval, Abondance and many more. Ask our resort staff for more details and recommendations!
