What’s On this Christmas in Morzine

Christmas week is well and truly underway in Morzine, and there’s loads happening on and off the slopes over the next few days. If you’re wondering how to fill your evenings (or how to entertain the kids after skiing!), here are some great ideas 👇

✨This week’s highlights✨

🎅Festive village events & Christmas fun
Throughout the week, Morzine’s centre comes alive with Christmas activities including visits from Father Christmas, children’s entertainment, festive parades and themed workshops. Perfect for families — and a great excuse to wander the village with a hot chocolate or vin chaud.

🎶 Live music & evening entertainment
There are several free Christmas Carol concerts and live music events scheduled this week in the village — either in the town square, or enjoy a Christmas Eve Carol service at the Catholic Church (6pm on Christmas Eve).

🎄 Village Enchanté & festive atmosphere
The Christmas lights, decorations and pop-up events make evening strolls through Morzine especially magical this time of year. Keep an eye out for street performers, brass bands and surprise festive moments.

❄️ Christmas Eve Parade
Christmas Eve is the main celebration in France. From mid afternoon the Tourist Office hosts lots of free activities for children including craft sessions, face painting, treasure hunts and parades. From 6pm on Christmas Eve, Santa officially arrives into town at the Place de L’Office de Tourisme – led by the ESF instructors, and accompanied by gigantic characters on stilts and festive oddballs.

🎆 Christmas Eve Fireworks
The evening finishes with a torchlit descent and fireworks from the Pleney. A lovely way to end the day, wrap  up warm!

🎅Christmas Day
After a Christmas day ski, return to the Tourist Office in the afternoon for free family parades plus hot chocolate for the kids and sweet French Pitch buns.

📍 Top tip: Many events start early evening, so they’re easy to combine with dinner plans or a relaxed après drink.
