Top 10 summer family activities in Morzine

There is so much to do in Morzine in the summer time – it’s the perfect place to entertain the little ones whilst the grown ups enjoy some big kids activities or just a well earned glass of wine!

Here are our top 10 choices of summer activities that are great for all the family, compiled from our guests recommendations and Treeline owner’s – Duncan & Amy – own choices for entertaining their boisterous boys:

1. Morzine’s outdoor Swimming pool complex:

With an outdoor 50M pool, 25M indoor pool, water slide and 2 kiddies pools for children of all ages PLUS plenty of grassy play areas, table tennis tables and a volleyball court it’s easy to spend a few days here! Entry is FREE with your multi pass.

2. Mountain biking:

Although the biking area is world famous and attracts serious bikers from across the globe, there are also tons of friendly runs, accessible and achievable for kids big and small! The many bike shops around town can provide all the gear, and you can also hire a guide to take you through the basics and show you around the area.

3. SUPPING and BBQ at the Lac Montriond

Lake Montriond is a perfect spot to relax with the whole family. You can hire a stand up paddle board or kayak for just €10 an hour, or just go for a refreshing dip in the lake. If you want to make a day of it, there are permanent BBQ spots set up – just bring your charcoal and meat!

4. Low ropes course Dereche

Run by the awesome guys at IndianAdventures, the low ropes course just down from the swimming pool complex is great fun for younger children! Similar to go ape in the UK there are cargo nets, zip wires and rope bridges as just some of the obstacles along the way. If the adults or bigger kids want a go – there is a bigger set up by the Nyon waterfall, again run by the team at IndanAdventures

5. Day trip to the Devils Gorge

If you’ve come to resort by car there are loads of fab day trips we can recommend, but one would definitely be a trip to the Devils Gorge! A natural rock formation with spectacular results, and only a 30 minute drive from Morzine this is a great day out whatever the weather.

6. Walk to lake lookout point

You can use the bubbles and chair lifts as a pedestrian for FREE with your multi pass, which opens up lot’s of great hikes and walks for all abilities. One easy loop is from the top of the Zore chair lift (at the top of the Super Morzine gondola) which takes you to a beautiful look out point over Lake Montriond.

7. Wibit inflatable at Les Gets lake

Another gorgeous mountain lake, made even better by a large floating bouncy castle! What’s not to love?

8. Lunch at the Tremplin

Non-stop service all day, large terrace, grassy area for the kids to run around on PLUS a bouncy castle – this is a perfect spot for all the family. The menu is large and varied and it’s conveniently located right at the bottom of the Pleney lift!

9. Walk to Mont Caly

Another accesible walk, this time with awesome views of the Mont Blanc Massif! From the top of the Mont Chery cable car, turn left and walk around the bottom of the chair. It’s an easy 1.5 hour loop with a lovely restaurant half way for ice cream, drinks or a hearty mountain lunch.

10. Tennis
