The Tour de France and the Etape du Tour are coming back to Morzine in Summer 2023!

The Tour de France will be back in Morzine on 15th of July 2023! Plus Morzine will also welcome the return of the amateur event, the Etape du Tour on 9th of July 2023, where keen cyclists can ride the same route as the professionals.

The 110^th Tour de France, will see Morzine hosting a stage finish on the 15^th of July after a gruelling route from Annemasse, finishing with 2 steep climbs around Morzine: the Col de la Ramaz and the famous Col de Joux Plane, before descending into Morzine and crossing the finish line.

6 days prior to this, amateur cyclists will have the opportunity to ride the exact same stage as the pro’s in the Etape du Tour event. The Etape du Tour gives amateur riders the opportunity to ride one of the mountain stages of the Tour de France – it’s the only cyclo-sportive where roads are entirely closed to traffic. Morzine last hosted an Etape du Tour in 2016, and is now preparing for 16,000 cyclists to attempt this challenge on the 9^th of July 2023.
