Whilst the midwinter February school holidays are popular for trips, the Easter holidays offer quieter slopes and a general all-round relaxed atmosphere

FREE AND REDUCED LIFT PASSES

From 1^st April the Portes du Soleil reduce lift pass prices for both PDS passes and local passes, for all ages AND offer free lift passes for under 12s, when bought with an adult 6 day PDS pass!

SUNSHINE & SOFTER SNOW

Spring riding is the best, even for more advanced riders and skiers (we think it’s so much fun!) but is really perfect for children and beginners as it means a softer landing!

Get up the mountain early for those groomed runs and stay up all day to enjoy the soft runs the late afternoon brings. With sunshine almost guaranteed, don’t forget your sunscreen!

LONGER DAYS

As the hours of daylight increase, so do the hours of the lifts, with lifts open from 8.45am through to 4.45pm across the Portes du Soleil.

This means lovely long relaxed days, perhaps a later start some days (you are on holiday after all!) and longer lunches to enjoy the gorgeous mountain food or a…

PICNIC ON THE PISTE

With lots of bakeries, small shops and takeaway booths as part of main restaurants, it’s easier and often cheaper to get a sandwich or snack and enjoy it sitting in the sun with your gang.

SPRING ACTIVITES FOR KIDS

Morzine has so much to offer for children, including ice Skating, swimming, playgrounds and carousels, while Avoriaz boasts the brilliant Aquariaz (check out the outdoor jacuzzi for adults alike!) and banana swings and hidden treehouses!
